Urban Decay De Slick Makeup Setting Spray Review

Hi everyone!

Today I have a review of the Urban Decay De Slick Makeup Setting spray (quite a mouthful)! Urban decay claim that this spray "mists on weightlessly to control oil, deflect surface shine and keep skin looking beautifully matte". It is also said to prevent your foundation and eyeshadow from smudging, sliding or fading.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Lip Pencil - Review & Swatches

Hi Everyone!
I thought that it would be fun to share my collection of Urban Decay lip pencils with you all. Urban Decay currently sell 10 different colours and I own 6 of them. The colour selection available is not massively varied like in other brands such as MAC but you should find what you need! The pencils contain Jojoba oil, Vitamin E and Cottonseed oil which Urban Decay claims will nourish your lips and improve with the smoothness of the application.

(Top to Bottom) Midnight Cowboy, Illegal, Ozone

(Top to Bottom) Wicked, Naked, Wallflower

I also have quite a few of the MAC lip pencils in my collection and compared to them these pencils have a much easier, smoother but thicker application. These are more creamy than the MAC pencils and do not dry out your lips at all which I can find is a problem with some other lip pencils from other brands. Despite the creamy texture of the pencils they are great and stopping you lipstick and gloss from feathering and help it to stay put.

COLOUR DESCRIPTIONS:
Ozone: Clear
Illegal: Rosy Neutral
Midnight Cowboy: Taupe Pink
Wallflower: Medium Nude
Naked: Neutral Pink
Wicked: Shimmering light pink

SWATCHES SHOWN ON NW20 SKIN:

(L to R) Illegal, Midnight Cowboy, Wallflower, Naked, Wicked

*Please note that I did not swatch Ozone as it is clear and would not show up on camera!

Overall these pencils are pricey but could quality. As I have mentioned above they do their job really well and prevent your lips from drying out. My only negative point would be that their current colour selection is not as large as with other brands.

You can purchase the Urban Decay lip pencils from in the UK from stockists such as Debenhams House of Fraser and HQ Hair for £12 or from the official Urban Decay website for $19 in the US.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette - Review & Swatches

Hi Everyone!
It's here! It's finally here! Obviously I am talking about the long awaited Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay which has just been released at Debenhams here in the UK! I loved the first/ original Naked Palette (click here to read my review) and was very excited when I heard that a second Naked Palette was in the making!
This palette is of a similar size to the first one but is made from a tin-like material rather than the faux velvet covered card. The lid closes shut much more firmly than the first. There is a decent sized mirror on the inside of the lid and a compartment to store the brush in.

COLOUR DESCRIPTIONS:
Foxy: Pale, matte beige - This makes a great highlighter colour for my skin (MAC NW20).

Half Baked: Coppery brown with golden shimmer sheen - I love this colour and it is also in the first Naked Palette.

Bootycall: Peachy white-beige - This is another great highlight colour, depending on your skintone. I also like to use it all over the lid for a bright, daytime look.

Chopper: Medium orange-red toned brown with copper shimmer - I love this colour but it is quite flaky to apply. This is also in the Ammo palette  and is apparently one of Kim Kardashian's favourite shadows!

Tease: Mauve brown - I really like this medium brown colour and that it has a matte finish.

Snakebite: Dark brown with golden shimmer - This is a little similar to Darkhorse from the first Naked Palette but not as good in my opinion.

Suspect Champagne-bronze - This makes a great all over lid colour.

Pistol: Gray-brown - This is a great cool toned colour which helps to separate the two Naked palettes.

Verve: Pale beige-gray - This is a really shimmery, frosty shade which looks nice as an inner corner highlighter or when used on the centre of the lid to brighten up your look.

YDK: Coppery red-toned medium brown - This is a gorgeous frosty shade which looks great when used all over the lid for a more heavy, nighttime look.

Busted: Deep red-brown with golden undertones - This makes a great crease colour and smokes out well.

Blackout: Matte black - I love to have a matte black in an eyeshadow palette. This one is also in the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary palette.

SWATCHES SHOWN ON NW20 SKIN:

(L to R) Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite

(L to R) Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout

I am really impressed with the brush that comes with the palette as, I have found that many brushes that come with eyeshadow palettes are of pretty poor quality but this isn't! One end of the brush flat and has densely packed bristle which pack on the colour really well and the other end is much fuller and fluffier and great for applying crease colour and blending

Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Naked

The Lip Junkie Lipgloss comes in a mini sized and is described as 'Sheer neutral pink with white micro shimmer'. The gloss has a mint scent which is great for giving you fresher breath! To keep in with the 'Naked' theme I decided to get the Naked lipstick to! I have seen this used on a YouTube tutorial and really liked the look of it!

Urban Decay Naked Lipstick

Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss

GLOSS  AND LIPSTICK SWATCHES:

(Lto R) Naked Lipgloss, Naked Lipstick

Overall, I have to say that this palette did not disappoint! The shadows are all great quality and nicely pigmented. The palette has more cool toned and gray shadows than the first Naked palette does. So the burning question is: Do you need both? Well I think that if you liked the first palette you'll like this one! If you only want the one, I would perhaps go for this one, as you get 2 great highlighter shades and a matte black plus a selection of really nice gold, bronze and gray shades.

I purchased my palette from Debenhams for £36 and you can also purchase it from the official Urban Decay website for $50.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 4

Hi Everyone!
I am so excited to share this eyeshadow palette with you as I am so happy to have got it! This is the latest Book of Shadows from Urban Decay which was released a couple of months ago. It comes with 16 eyeshadows (including 10 new shades), a waterproof liquid eyeliner in Perversion, an original Primer Potion and a Super Curl mascara plus some special features which include a portable speaker and some tutorials for you to view on your phone.

As with all of the Urban Decay Book of Shadows the packaging is amazing! The top of the box features a magnetic snap-shut lid which opens to reveal some beautiful butterflies, a mirror, a slot to house your mobile phone and a card which has details of the make-up tutorials and how to access them.

There is a draw in the bottom section of the box that you pull out which houses the 16 eyeshadows, the eyeliner, Primer Potion and mascara. The 24/7 Liquid eyeliners are a fairly new edition to the Urban Decay range and feature a fine tip, Perversion is a dark black colour and is perfect for achieving the perfect cat-eye flick! The Supercurl mascara comes in a travel sized and features a really nicely curved brush which makes application much easier and finally the box also comes with a travel sized Primer Potion in Original which is an amazing eyeshadow base and a must have product. for everyone in my opinion!

(Top to Bottom) Super Curl Mascara, 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion, Primer Potion in Original

EYESHADOWS:

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTIONS:
Blue Bus: Bright blue with purple shimmer.
Gunmetal: Dark metallic silver with silver sparkle.
Cobra: Sooty black with golden shimmer.
Baked: Shimmering bright copper.
Bender: Shimmering dark mossy green.
Gravity: Deep vibrant purple with multi-dimensional glitter.
Lost: Shimmering dark brown.
Hijack: Grey-ish green with blue and green shimmer.
Midnight Cowgirl: Shimmering gold with gold sparkle.
Sin: Shimmering champagne.
Midnight Rodeo: Metallic medium brown with silver and gold glitter.
Crystal: Light silvery blue with subtle grey shimmer.
Bust: Taupe brown with subtle grey shimmer.
Missionary: Light taupe with pink shimmer.
Skimp: Shimmering ultra light nude.
Zephyr: Shimmering off-white.

SWATCHES (shown on NW20 skin):

(L to R) Blue Bus, Gunmetal, Cobra, Baked, Bender, Gravity

(L to R) Lost, Hijack, Midnight Cowgirl, Sin, Midnight Rodeo

(L to R) Crystal, Bust, Missionary, Skimp, Zephyr

As I mentioned above, 10 of these shadows are new and 6 we have seen before including Gunmetal and Sin which were featured in the Naked palette. I like that there is a mixture of neutral, more subtle shades and some brighter colours. Most of the eyeshadows have a pretty good amount of colour pay-off and apply nicely and blend well. As I have found with several Urban Decay shadows in the past, some can contain a large amount of glitter and/or shimmer which can make them much harder to apply and gritty in texture, but on the whole this is a really good set.

Overall, I have to say that I really like this palette. All of the Book of Shadows from Urban Decay are beautiful and are a must have for all UD fans. There are so many options for looks that you can create using this palette and it makes a wonderful gift for any make-up addict!

You can purchase the Book of Shadows from the official Urban Decay website by clicking here. I purchased my Book of Shadows from Debenhams for £41.60 (Normal price £46).

Eyeshadow Pencils - NYX v MAC v Urban Decay

Hi Everyone!
This is a post comparing 3 of the most popular eyeshadow pencils currently on the market, the NYX Jumbo Eye pencils, the MAC Shadesticks and the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Shadow pencils. I have a few of each of the pencils and have tested them over an eyeshadow primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) with and without a pressed shadow over the top. Here's how they did!

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils:
The NYX pencils are the cheapest of the 3 pencils that I have tried and are currently available in 28 shades. These pencils are really chunky but can be sharpened pretty easily using a large sharpener. The texture of the pencil is really creamy and a little goes a long way. I would suggest applying them using your finger or by dotting a small amount directly on to the lid and blending out. If you apply the shadows directly all over the lid you will end up with way too much product. First of all I tested out the Strawberry Milkshake pencil under MAC's Pink Freeze shadow, I applied the pencil with my finger and blended it out with a MAC 217 brush. Due to the thickness of the pencil it wasn't all that easy to blend out. The pencil did a good job at intensifying the colour but it was a little patchy in places. I would say that it prevented some creasing but didn't do an amazing job.
The following day I applied Purple Velvet all over my lid without a shadow over the top. First of all I have to say that we are experiencing unseasonably hot weather for England at this time of year which will have had an effect on the oiliness of my lids. The NYX pencil did, however, do a fairly OK job at staying in place, I found that the colour was still pretty intense at the end of the day but it creased fairly quickly even over an eyeshadow primer.
The biggest plus point to the NYX pencils are the price (you can almost get 3 of these for the price of one Urban Decay pencil) and the large colour selection, however I would stick to using them as an eyeshadow base rather than on their own!
You can purchase the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils from NYX Online for £4.50 each. For a review and swatches of my Jumbo Pencil collection please click here.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Shadow Pencils:
These pencils are the newest of the 3 that I have tested and are currently available in 10 varying shades. The pencils can be sharpened in a similar way to the NYX pencils. The colours are really nicely pigmented and are less thick and creamy than the NYX pencils but not as dry as the MAC ones. They apply really easily directly to the lid and blend out really well too. I applied Delinquent all over my lid over my primer and wore it all day on its own, at the end of the day it had only creased a tiny bit which wasn't all that noticeable and it kept it's colour intensity really well. The following day I applied Morphine over MAC's Stars n Rockets shadow, it helped the colour to pop and the shadow remained completely crease free throughout the day which is amazing.
You can purchase the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Shadow Pencils from Debenhams for £14 each.

MAC Shadesticks:
Finally I tried out one of the MAC shadesticks. The biggest downside to these pencils are that there are currently only 5 shades available but MAC do bring out limited edition shades in various collections throughout the year. These pencils are different to the 2 mentioned above as they have a twist up design and, therefore, do not need sharpening. The shadesticks are much drier than the other 2 pencils and do not apply as easily and evenly and tug at your lids a little more. They give a much more subtle effect which is great if that is the look that you are going for. When I wore one alone without a shadow over the top it did a pretty good job at not creasing but the colour pay off is pretty poor. All of the 5 permanent shades are fairly neutral in colour so you are limited as to which pressed shadows that you can wear over the top, I used Taupographic pencil under Twinks eyeshadow and it didn't do all that much to intensify the colour in my opinion but it did, however, prevent the shadow from creasing throughout the day.
You can purchase the MAC Shadesticks from MAC Online for £13.50.

Overall my winner, by far, has to be the Urban Decay pencils despite the fact that they are the most expensive of the 3 they apply really well and not too thickly and have a great colour range.
I hope that you have found this post useful, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

September Favourites

Hi Everyone!
We have come to the end of September 2011 so it is time for my monthly favourites post where I share my most used and loved items from the last month so let's get started!

Jessie's Girl Julie G Nail Polish Collection:
I am such a big fan of Julie G 713's YouTube channel and in particular her nail tutorials so when she announced that she had her own range of nail polishes coming out with Jesse's Girl Cosmetics I knew I had to order them. The colours are amazing and the polishes are such great value for money. My favourites so far have to be Cupcake Frosting and Mermaid's Lagoon. To read my review of the collection and to see swatches please click here.

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette:
This palette was my big make-up splurge this month and I love it! The palette is full of great quality shadows in such a great range of colours. I have been using this so much over the last few months. My favourite shadow from the palette is Omen which is a gorgeous purple colour. To read my review of the palette and to see swatches please click here.

Vera Wang Lovestruck Perfume:
Vera Wang is one of my favourite fragrance designers and I own both the original Princess and the Preppy Princess so Lovestruck was bound to be on my wish list! As you can see, it has the most gorgeous lid design and I was also drawn in by the fact that one of my fashion idols, Leighton Meester was in the advertising campaign! I am not the best at describing perfume smells but to me this is quite a light flowery and fruity scent.

Nails Inc Magnetic Nail Polish:
Well I totally got sucked into the whole magnetic polish craze this month! I couldn't believe how easy it was to do and how great it looked! I imagine that this will take over from the Crackle coat for the most wanted nail art! Click here to read my review of the polish and to see swatches.

Maybelline Falsies Black Mascara:
Any of you who regularly read my blog will know that I am a huge fan of L'Oreal mascaras but I have heard so many good things via YouTube about this mascara and seen as it was on offer in Superdrug I thought that it was a good time to give it a try and I have to say that I am impressed. I particularly like the curved shape of the wand and it does a good job at volumizing my lashes. Would I permanently swap my L'Oreal mascaras for this? Probably not no but it comes in at a close second!

MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick:
This lipstick has been in my collection for quite a while now but, for some unknown reason, I don't seem to have worn it all that much. It is a neutral rosy pink colour that just warms up your lips without being too obvious. As I have started at college this month I needed to hunt out my more subtle lipsticks so this fit the bill perfectly. I forgot just how nice it is plus, as with all of MAC's Viva Glam products, the full RRP, less the VAT goes to people affected by HIV and Aids which is amazing.

MAC Woodwinked & Mulch Eyeshadows:
As I mentioned above, I have recently started back at college so needed to tone down a bit for classes so I dug out my old faithful eyeshadows, Woodwinked (a warm antique gold) and Mulch (a Red-brown with bronze pearl) which are such a classic combination in my opinion! I like to apply Woodwinked all over my lid over MAC's Rubenesque Paint Pot (a Golden peach with gold pearl) and then add Mulch into the crease with a little Espresso ( a Muted golden brown) in the outer corner just to darken it up slightly.

MAC Peachykeen Blush:
This is a baby peach coloured blush that looks lovely paired with the above eye look. This is one of my most recent MAC blush purchases and I have been using it a lot over the past month. I love how it warms up your face without being too much.
I hope that you have enjoyed this post and don't forget to look out for my October favourites at the end of the month!

Favourite Brow Highlights

Hi Everyone!
I previously put a post together about my favourite cheek highlighters (click here to read it) which has been pretty popular so I decided to share my top brow highlights with you all too. These are the powders that I use to highlight my brow bones and in the inner corners of my eyes. Here are the descriptions of the powders followed by the swatches.

NARS Albatross: I use Albatross to highlight both my brow and cheekbones. It is a soft neutral colour with a subtle shimmer.
MAC Ricepaper: Ricepaper is described as a peachy gold with shimmer, I think that it looks great with gold and brown eyeshadow looks.
MAC Brule: Brule is a soft creamy beige colour that is very similar to the colour of my skin and is my most used highlighter. It is also fairly matte which makes it extra versatile.
Sigma Approach: This shadow is from Sigma's Bare palette, it is a creamy, pale colour with a pink tone.
MAC Shroom: Shroom is very similar to Brule but with some shimmer. It's great to use if you are wearing matte eyeshadows on your lids.
MAC Yogurt: This is a pale pink colour which I love to use when I am wearing a pink or purple look.
MAC Naked Lunch: This is a pink with some shimmer that also compliments a pink or purple eyeshadow look.
Urban Decay Virgin: Virgin is from Urban Decay's Naked palette and is a pale shimmered nude beige.

Swatches shown on NW20 skin:

(Top Row, L to R) Albatross, Ricepaper, Brule, Approach
(Bottom Row, L to R) Shroom, Yogurt, Naked Lunch, Virgin

Thanks for reading this post and I hope that you have found it useful.

Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette - Review & Swatches

Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection

Hi Everyone!
I am so excited to share this palette with you all! I love Urban Decay as a brand and always look forward to their eye shadow palettes as I find their eye shadows to be great quality and they come in such exciting colours! I first heard about this special 15 year anniversary palette a couple of months ago but it has only just gone on sale in the UK (only at Debenhams at the moment as far as I know). The palette comes with 15 new shadows and is in a gorgeous shiny box that has purple jewels on the front. There is a mirror on the inside of the lid and the palette has a slot in the bottom right hand corner that allows you to pop out the eye shadow tray when you have finished them so that you can re-use the box for storage which I think is a great idea and makes this palette even more of a collectors item!
Here are the swatches of the eye shadows (shown on NW20 skin) followed by their descriptions:

(L to R) Midnight Rodeo, Tainted, Deeper, Midnight 15, Junkshow, M.I.A, Vanilla

(L to R) Omen, Ace, Flow, Evidence, Blackout, Chase, Deep End, Half Truth

Midnight Rodeo: This is a shimmery pinky-bronze colour that has a metallic-like finish.
Tainted: Tainted is a gorgeous lilac colour with a slight golden shimmer, this is one of my favorites from the palette.
Deeper: This is a golden bronze colour with an olive tint to it, I think that this is the most unique shade in the box and I don't have anything else like it in my collection.
Midnight 15: This is a white-silver colour with a hint of purple to it, I think that this would make a stunning inner corner highlight to be paired with a purple lid.
Junkshow: This is a bright fuchsia pink with with a lavender shimmer, I love to apply colours like this to my crease with a dark eggplant colour on my lid.
M.I.A: This is a dark mushroom brown colour that is great to have in any palette.
Vanilla: This is not as boring as its name suggests! It is golden white colour with plenty of shimmer.
Omen: This is a violet blue duo chrome and is my favourite from the palette. It reminds me of MAC's Pink Pearl Pigment which has been discontinued.
Ace: This is a dark blue colour that is so pretty and is definitely a very wearable blue.
Flow: Flow is a peachy frost colour and would be great to use when creating a brown smokey eye.
Evidence: This colour is absolutely stunning, it is a sapphire blue with a metallic finish and is another one of my favourite colours from the palette.
Blackout: This is a strong matte black colour which would also make a great eye liner.
Chase: This is a striking golden colour and would look great all over the lid with a brown in the crease.
Deep End: This is a bright turquoise colour and would look great smudged along the lower lash line with a brown on the lid to add that extra pop of colour.
Half Truth: This is a blue violet colour that reminds me of MAC's Contrast eye shadow.

This palette is amazing and there is such a mixture of colours so there are so many different looks that you can create using it. Unusually for Urban Decay they have not included too many glittery shades with is great and makes a nice change! The palette is rather expensive but it's a great collectors item and if you enjoy Urban Decay palettes then you will love this. As I mentioned before, all of the shadows are new so you won't already own some of them which is great, plus all of the shadows are full size which makes it really good value for money.

I purchased my palette from Debenhams for £39. You can also get it from the Urban Decay site and from Amazon here: Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Swatches & Review

Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Collection 24/7 15 eyeliners
Hi Everyone!
I thought that it would be fun to share my collection of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencils with you all. These pencils are fantastic eyeliners but you can also use them as eyeshadow bases, I usually swirl some onto my finger then apply it to my lids. I own 10 pencils in total so, obviously, I do not have the entire collection! I love how creamy these pencils are and how easily they glide onto your skin. They all stay in place really well and are available in a large selection of colours. I would definitely recommend giving them a try if you haven't already.

Grafitti: This is a bright medium green with silver sparkle.
Covet: Covet is my favourite of UD's eyeliners, it is a gorgeous peacock green shade that I love to apply to my lower lash line when wearing a neutral lid to make my brown eyes pop!
Ransom: This is a bright iridescent purple colour and is one of my favourites.
Binge: Binge is a navy blue shade which I love to apply to the lower lash line with a medium brown lid.
Rockstar: Rockstar is a dark eggplant colour which makes a great alternative to a regular black eyeliner.
Eldorado: Eldorado is a stunning gold shade that looks amazing with bronze eye shadows on the lid.
Stash: This is a dark green/ gold colour.
Corrupt: Corrupt is a rich dark brown and will give you a slightly softer look than your usual black eyeliner.
Oil Slick: This is a black colour with a little bit of added silver sparkle, great for nighttime eye looks.
Zero: Zero is a classic black shade that is essential for any makeup collection.

Here are the swatches of my collection shown on NW20 skin:

(Top Row, L to R) Grafitti, Covet, Ransom, Binge, Rockstar
(Bottom Row, L to R ) Eldorado, Stash, Corrupt, Oil Slick, Zero

You can get the Urban Decay Pencils from Debenhams and House of Fraser in the UK as well as other online retailers for around £13, they are sometimes available in sets which will make them work out a little cheaper for you. You can also get them from Amazon here: Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Collection 24/7 15 eyeliners

July Favourites

Hi Everyone!
Another month is over so it is time for my July favourites post. I am a little late with this post this month but never mind! Let's get started!

Sigma Bare Palette
I purchased this new eye shadow palette from Sigma last month and I absolutely love it! The shadows are all really smooth and nicely pigmented. It has quickly taken over from the Urban Decay Naked Palette as my 'go-to' neutral eye shadow palette. I love to use Snoop and Hitch together. You can read my review of the palette and see swatches by clicking here.
MAC Romp & Nylon Eyeshadows
I have owned both of these shadows for quite a while now but haven't really used them very much for some reason! I rediscovered them over the past month and love wearing them together. I apply Romp all over the lid with Nylon as my inner corner and brow highlight. I then add add a darker brown shadow such as MAC's Mulch or Espresso in my crease. You can see swatches of the shadows below.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Shadow Pencil in Sin
I love Urban Decay's Glide on Shadow pencils and Sin is the latest addition to my collection. Sin is a beautiful champagne colour that I love to put under similar shade shadows as a base. You can view the swatch of the pencil below.
Bobbi Brown Gel Line in Black Ink
This has featured on my favourite list a few times now and I am obsessed with it! I apply it using my Smashbox bent eyeliner brush and it applies so smoothly and lasts all day. I haven't reached for my pencil or liquid liners since I have owned this! Top marks for this product from me!
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Sweetheart
I have been writing a list of my favourite lipglosses recently for my blog (posting very soon) and I released that this gloss is my favourite in my current collection! It is the perfect pinky-nude colour and is, as the name suggests, mega shinny! It is also really affordable which is great.
OPI Blue My Mind Nail Polish
I have really been getting into blue nail varnishes lately and this is my favourite blue polish so far! It was my nails of the week polish a couple of weeks ago. You can read the post and view the swatch by clicking here.
Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model TV Show
OK so this is a strange addition to a beauty blog favourites list (as are my cake posts) but what the hell! Britain's Next Top Model has been running for many years now and I used to love it but then I got a little bored of it so I've missed quite a few cycles. I have however really got back into it! I forgot how much I loved it! It is currently been shown on Sky Living TV on Monday Nights at 9pm in the UK. I can't wait for this Monday's episode as it is the brilliant, highly anticipated make-over show!
Here are the eye shadow swatches:

Top 5 Urban Decay Products

Hi Everyone!
This is the second in my series of the best of various cosmetic brands. This is my top 5 picks from Urban Decay which is one of my favourite brands!

1. Eyeshadows: Urban Decay make really good eyeshadows, especially in their palettes. The Naked Palette has been so popular and for good reason! The shadows are amazing quality and there is a good selection of finishes included (Click here to see my Naked palette review). Their individual shadows are great too, my favourites are Hot Pants and Sin.
2. 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil: These waterproof pencil's are one if UD's best selling products. They are so smooth and easy to apply, they stay put all day and work well on the waterline. They are also super easy to smudge out. UD offer a wide range of colours, my top picks would be Zero which is your classic black and Covet which is a gorgeous peacock green which I often use on my lower lash line to brighten up a neutral eyeshadow look and to make my brown eyes pop!
3. Primer Potion: This has become a bit of a cult product and is really good. I apply a small amount of it over the eyelid before applying a base of shadow and it helps the colour stay put all day without creasing. Urban Decay make the Primer Potion in other colours besides the Original formula which will help to bring out the colour of your eyeshadows even more!
4. 24/7 Glide-on Lip Pencil: I love the UD Lip Pencils as the are really nicely pigmented and just glide on to your lips as the name suggests! I find that they blend out better than the usual pencil style lip liners. My favourites are Wicked and Naked.
5. 24/7 Glide-on Shadow Pencil: These are a relatively new product and I am in love with them already! They are similar to the popular NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils but are, in my opinion, much better quality and definitely less chalky in texture. These pencils are like a large version of the 24/7 Eye Liner Pencils mentioned above, they are waterproof and make amazing eyeshadow bases. My 2 favourites so far are Morphine and Delinquent.

So they are my top 5 picks from the Urban Decay Range. To see my top 5 picks from MAC please click here. Check back soon for the next post in my favourite products series.

My Favourite Neutral Eyeshadows

Hi Everyone!
These are my favourite neutral eyeshadow colours. These are more flesh toned colours that I use as a eyeshadow base to neutralise my skin colour, as a brow highlight and as an all-over wash of colour for a more subtle look. They are also great for blending out harsh eyeshadow lines. (Swatches shown on NW20 skin).

(L to R) Bisque, Blanc Type, Brule, Dazzlelight

(L to R) Kitten, Phloof!, Shroom, Virgin

MAC BISQUE: Soft muted pinky-beige (Matte)
MAC BLANC TYPE: Creamy beige (Matte)
MAC BRULE: Soft muted creamy-beige (Satin)
MAC DAZZLELIGHT: Neutral with silver/copper reflects
STILA KITTEN: Pinky bronze
MAC PHLOOF!: Frosted off-white (Frost)
MAC SHROOM: Soft muted golden beige with opalescent shimmer (Satin)
URBAN DECAY VIRGIN: Pale shimmered nude beige

My Favourite Silver & Grey Eyeshadows

Hi Everyone!
The next in my series of favourite eyeshadows are the silver and grey's! These aren't really colours that I use too often so this is a pretty small list!
Here are the swatches shown on NW20 skin

(L to R) Electra, Idol Eyes, Knight Divine, Uzi, Vex

MAC ELECTRA: Muted silver with icy metallic shimmer (Frost)
MAC IDOL EYES: Silvered violet threaded with gold (Lustre)
MAC KNIGHT DIVINE: Carbon black with silver/blue reflects (Veluxe Pearl)
URBAN DECAY UZI: Metallic silver with iridescent sparkles
MAC VEX: Soft pale green duochrome with pink opalescent shimmer (Frost)

I hope that you enjoyed this post and found it useful. Please note that some of the shades may have been discontinued from the main collection but may be available to buy in CCO stores or in upcoming collections as re promotes.
Please check out the rest of the favourite eyeshadow posts!
