Nails Inc Topping Lane Sprinkles - Review & Swatch

Hi Everyone!

I have been looking forward to the new Nails Inc Sprinkle nail polishes since I saw a press release about them a few months ago so was so excited when I saw that they are now available to buy! The Sprinkle nail polishes come in 4 different pastel shades named after various different streets in London. I went for Topping Lane which is described as a 'Pink with cerise, silver and purple sparkles'.

I began by applying 2 coats of OPI Original Nail Envy as my base followed by 2 coats of Topping Lane. The polish applies fairly evenly and is almost opaque after the first coat. I finished off by applying a layer of Seche Vite Top Coat.

I love this polish! It's so cute and summery! I love the solid colour base that the polish has, many glitter polishes have sheer bases so have to be layered over a solid colour so this is great.

You can purchase the Nails Inc Sprinkle nail polishes from Nails Inc for £11

Zoya Kimber Nail Polish - Review & Swatches

Hi Everyone!

Today I applied one of the new nail polishes from Zoya's Surf collection for Spring/ Summer 2012. Kimber is described as a 'Coral - red with a warm orange - gold shimmer' with a metallic finish.

I began by applying 2 coats of OPI Matte Nail Envy as my base followed by 2 coats of Kimber. The polish is almost opaque after the first coat and fully opaque after the second. It applies smoothly and evenly and dries quickly. I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.

This polish is gorgeous and a love the fiery hot coral - red shade and golden shimmer for summer! The polish is also pretty long wearing too and stayed on my nails for quite a few days without chipping.

Have you tried any of the polishes from the Surf collection? If so, let me know your recommendations/ opinions in the comments section below.

You can purchase Zoya Kimber from Beauty Chamber for £9.75

Dior 5 Couleurs Designer All in One Artistry Palette - Review & Swatch

Hi Everyone!
I had quite a few points built up on my Debenhams Beauty Card so I thought that I'd treat myself to a high end beauty purchase! I have always looked at the Dior eyeshadow palettes and wanted to give them a try so I picked out the '5 Couleurs Artistry Palette in Green Design' which features 4 powder eyeshadows and a gel-based liner.

As you can see from the pictures above the packaging is beautiful and very expensive looking! The palette is glossy and clips shut and comes with 2 small applicators plus a decent sized mirror on the inside of the lid. It also includes a guide on how to apply the shadows.

I am really loving the colour green at the moment which is what drew me to this palette. The lower, left hand shadow is a flesh toned shade that is designed to be used all over the lid and crease as a base shadow and it works well for this. The centre shade is the lid colour and the upper, left shade is the darker, crease colour. The top right shadow is a shimmery shade that is designed to be patted on the centre of the lid to give the look more of a sparkle and to open the eyes. The final, lower, right hand shade is a dark, green gel-based liner which would also make a good all over base to help the shadows stick in my opinion.

SWATCHES SHOWN ON NW20 SKIN:

As you can see, the liner shade, the main lid colour and crease colours are all really nicely pigmented and the other two shadows are much more subtle. The quality of these shadows is good and all 5 colours work well together, it's also really versatile as day and evening looks can easily be created using it. This palette is very expensive but is great as  a treat and brilliant for travelling. The green colour also look amazing on brown eyes!
You can purchase this palette from Debenhams for £40

OPI Thanks a Windmillion - Review & Swatches

Hi Everyone!
I have really been loving the colour green recently and have had my eye on OPI's Thanks a Windmillion ever since Lauren Conrad posted a photo of her wearing it recently on her website. This polish is from the recent Holland collection and is a gorgeous pistachio colour.

I began by applying 2 coats of OPI Matte Nail Envy as my base followed by 2 coats of Thanks a Windmillion. This polish has a gorgeous creme consistency and is super smooth and easy to apply. It's fully opaque after the first coat too and dries pretty quickly. I finished off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I am so in love with this colour! It's perfect for any time of the year and is bang on trend too.

You can purchase this polish from Lena White here in the UK for £11
